Primary Accountabilities for the Commercial Services Technician

Achieve Results

  1. Troubleshoot HVAC-R equipment, building comfort, energy efficiency, and related problems
  2. Present findings, solutions, and options to our clients, providing advice as needed and requested
  3. Deliver best-in-class revenue generation by identifying the best solution for our clients

Operating Standards

  1. Utilize company resources to propose equipment replacement bids for our clients
  2. Complete approved repairs, improvements, or installations within industry standard hours and per LBA pricing guides
  3. Complete digital proposals and service tickets for all work performed
  4. Assist in the adoption and use of new technologies
  5. Maintain a 'like new' appearance with the company-provided vehicle, tools, and equipment
  6. Maintain proper inventory levels on your company vehicle
  7. Ensure every job site is cleaned and is an example of LBA Commercial's work quality

Relationship Management

  1. Develop positive working relationships with all clients and members of the LBA team
  2. Partner with our dispatch operations by proving timely and accurate status updates

Stewardship/Company Representation

  1. Understand the Company's/Division's vision, mission, values, goals, strategies and action plans
  2. Communicate the Company's/Division's values, products, and services
  3. Build internal commitment to the Company/Division's values, goals, and objectives through the effective support of team member success.
  4. Be a leader and lead by your example in professionalism, work quality, and attitude.

Essential Functions

  1. Deliver planned and predictive maintenance services to our contract client roster
  2. Troubleshoot HVAC-R equipment, building comfort, energy efficiency, and related problems
  3. Present findings, solutions, and options to our clients, converting technical concepts into easily understood layperson terms
  4. Work efficiently and deliver a high level of quality with minimal onsite supervision
  5. Utilize company pricing to build competitive repair proposals

What you Need to be Qualified for the Commercial Services Technician Position

In order to be qualified for the Commercial Service Technician position, 3+ years of demonstrated commercial HVAC experience is required.  Prior experience delivering maintenance, repairs, and replacement solutions for package rooftops, commercial split systems, air handlers and VAV/FPBs.  VRF system, chiller and boiler experience is preferred but not required.  Experience with technology such as smart phones, tablets, and dispatch software to create electronic service tickets is required.  Universal EPA certification and clean driving record is required.  Refrigeration experience is preferred but not required.  High school graduate required and HVAC trade school certificate preferred.  Experience and comfort with ladders and heights in a commercial setting is required.  The ability to lift and move ladders, enter data into various computer systems, and lift up to 50 pounds on a periodic basis is required.  Utilize all office equipment, telephones, fax machines, and computers on a regular basis.
